Q. 現在取り組んでいること

Q. What are you currently working on?

現在は、幼い頃からの夢であった宇宙に携わる研究者の卵として、大気圏突入体の研究を行なっています。大気圏突入の際の加熱を低減できる、パラシュートに代わる効率的な減速システムとして「柔軟エアロシェル」を提案しています。多くの人々に感動を届けた小惑星探査機はやぶさのようなサンプルリターンミッションや将来火星探査など、応用先は様々です。自ら発案し手を動かす過程で、宇宙機を生み出す難しさと面白さを実感しています。

I am currently conducting research on atmospheric entry vehicles as an aspiring researcher involved in space, which has been my dream since I was a child. I am proposing a “flexible aeroshell” as an efficient deceleration system that can reduce heating during atmospheric entry and replace parachutes. The application of this system is varied, including sample return missions such as the asteroid probe Hayabusa, which has brought excitement to many people, and future exploration of Mars. In the process of conceiving and working on my own, I am realizing how difficult and interesting it is to create a spacecraft.

ご支援いただいた奨学金は、JAXAの大型施設を用いた実験を行う際の移動費や、アメリカなど遠方の学会に参加した際の生活費など、主に研究に励むにあたって発生する費用に利用させていただいています。忙しい日々の中で金銭面での不安を感じることなく、研究に集中できる環境にご貢献いただいていており、非常に有難く思っております。ご支援いただいた御恩を胸に、今後社会に貢献できる技術者となれるよう精進します。

The scholarship I received from the Daiohs Memorial Foundation is mainly used to cover the expenses I incur in my research, such as travel expenses when conducting experiments using JAXA's large-scale facilities and living expenses when participating in conferences in faraway places such as the United States. I am thankful for creating an environment where I can concentrate on our research without worrying about finances in our busy days. I will do my best to become an engineer who can contribute to society in the future with the gratitude for the support I have received from the Daiohs Foundation.

Q. What are you currently working on?

ブルーカーボン生態系と呼ばれる海に炭素を蓄えることのできる沿岸・海洋生態系の研究をしています。その中でも特に海草（うみくさ）について研究を行っています。陸上の植物は根から土壌の栄養や水を吸い上げる際、蒸散を利用しますが、海の中の海草はそれを行うことができません。一体どのようにして栄養を取り込まれるのかということについて調査研究をしています。

I am researching coastal and marine ecosystems that can store carbon in the ocean, called blue carbon ecosystems. Among them, I am particularly conducting research on seaweed. Plants on land use transpiration to suck up nutrients and water from the soil through their roots, while seagrasses in the ocean cannot. I am conducting research on how nutrition is taken in.

貴財団の助けによって、アルバイトの時間を減らし、日々の研究活動の時間を確保させていただいています。貴財団に援助していただいた一年間は、前年や学士課程の時と比べ、自分の取り組むべきことに集中できております。修士課程を修了した後は、一度社会に出て経験を積む予定ですが、大学・大学院で学んだことを社会に対し貢献・還元できるよう、これからも精一杯努力していきたいと存じます。

With the help of the Daiohs foundation, I have been able to reduce my part-time work hours and have more time for my daily research activities. During the year that Daiohs foundation has supported me, I have been able to focus more on what I need to work on compared to the previous year or during my bachelor's program. After completing my master's program, I plan to go out into the world to gain experience, and I will continue to make my best efforts to contribute and give back to society what I have learned at university and graduate school.

Q. What are you currently working on?

現在、武蔵野大学の英会話オンライン講師としても活動しています。また、バングラデシュ家庭の学生のためのベンガル語通訳としてボランティア活動にも積極的に参加しています。これらの経験を通じて、コミュニケーション能力や異文化理解のスキルを磨いています。

I am currently working as an online English teacher at Musashino University. I also participate in volunteer activities as a Bengali interpreter for Bangladeshi home students. Through these experiences, I am brushing up my communication and cross-cultural understanding skills.

ダイオーズ記念財団からの奨学金は、主に学費や教材費に充てています。これにより、経済的な負担を軽減し、学業に専念できる環境が整いました。また、奨学金のサポートにより、研究活動やボランティア活動にも積極的に取り組むことができ、将来のキャリア形成に向けた重要な基盤を築いています。この支援により、学業成績の向上と社会貢献活動の両立が実現しています。

Scholarships from the Daiohs Memorial Foundation are mainly used for tuition and teaching materials. This has reduced the financial burden and created an environment where I can concentrate on my studies. The scholarship support also allows me to actively engage in research and volunteer activities, laying an important foundation for my future career. Through this support, I am able to improve academic performance and engage in social contribution activities at the same time.

Q. What are you currently working on?

現在、母国でインターンシップを行い、実務経験を積んでいます。東京国際大学では、(PAW)ピアアドバイザーとして学生の論文や研究をサポートしています。また、TIUモデル国連（MUN）クラブの積極的なメンバーとして、グローバルな議論や討論に参加しています。さらに、マクドナルドでのアルバイトを通じて、学業と課外活動を両立させています。

I am currently doing an internship in my home country to gain work experience. At TIU, I work as a (PAW) peer advisor, supporting students' thesis and research. I am also an active member of the TIU Model United Nations (MUN) club, participating in global discussions and debates. I balance my academic and extracurricular activities through my part-time job at McDonald's.

Q. What kind of scholarship do you receive from the Daiohs Foundation?

ダイオーズ記念財団の奨学金のおかげで、アルバイトの時間を減らし、研究やクラブ活動、インターンシップにより多くの時間を割くことができるようになりました。この奨学金により、GPAが3.92から4.0に上昇しました。私の学術的および専門的な成長に大いに貢献し、デジタルビジネスとイノベーションの分野での成長を支えてくれています。

Thanks to the scholarship from the Daiohs Foundation, I have been able to spend less time on my part-time job and more time on research, club activities, and internships. This scholarship raised my GPA from 3.92 to 4.0. This has lead to my academic and professional growth and has supported my growth in the field of digital business and innovation.
